If you're reading this then you've most likely noticed the change of scenery at this here digital HQ.
I've come into 2023 with a series of resolutions and top of the list is to gain some semblance of presence in the cyber realm which until now has been a tempestuous affair. If you wish to support me in my endeavour then the best thing that you could do is subscribe to my mailing list, which you'll find on the home page. There's no better motivation for opening my laptop and typing away than knowing that there are subscribers on the other end!
As for my other resolutions for 2023...
With the treasured support of Holly Harman at Penny Fiddle Records and Sarah Coxson at Alan Bearman Music, I am presently working on two different sets of recordings which I intend to tour. The first will be a digital-only release and will likely appear around the end of February / beginning of March. The second, the BIG ONE and the follow-up to 2019's 'The Reverie Road', is set for appearance in November when I will be embarking on a tour of these isles. More on that to follow...
In other news, I was appointed as the Musical Director for the Lancashire Youth Folk Ensemble at the end of 2022 and we've already had two rehearsals so far this year. It's a great privilege to be spearheading a young people's revival of interest in the traditional music of the North-West. 12th February at the Harrison, London: myself and fiddlers Aidan Connolly and Owen Spafford.
22nd February at Metronome, Nottingham: with Germa Adan.
